Julie Cawkell graduated from Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in 2020. She combines her kind and assertive personality with a strong passion for customer service to consistently exceed expectations and develop sustainable solutions. Julie is dedicated to staying current with pain science and research, emphasizing the role of pain as a form of communication. She values teaching clients how to interpret pain when it remains manageable and is addressed appropriately.
Julie encourages open communication by taking feedback and asking questions to educate clients about their assessments, treatment plans, available techniques, progress or regression, and realistic home care options tailored to their individual needs and conditions. She collaborates with clients to identify primary goals, understand which structures, tissues, or muscle groups are affected, and how interconnected systems and daily activities may influence recovery or goal achievement.
Through innovative thinking, analytical processes, and client engagement, Julie creates personalized treatment solutions. She is committed to supporting clients in achieving their health and wellness objectives, or regaining function after injury or surgery. Her approach emphasizes ongoing consent, cultural safety, client involvement, and regular re-evaluation, with referrals provided if optimal results cannot be attained within her care.
“Where do you want to go or be and how can I help you get there? “- Julie
